EDO and GDO Data Download

WARNINGS!

1) Due to a computational issue, the Combined Drought Indicator (CDI) of the ten-day period 2024-01-21 has been re-computed. If you have downloaded this dataset before the 14 February 2024 at 12:00 CET, we suggest you to download the re-computed correct dataset.

2) Due to an error in data extraction, the entire time series of Index for Seasonal Forecasting of Unusually Wet and Dry Periods SPI-6 has been re-computed. If you have downloaded this dataset before the 9 February 2024 at 14:15 CET, we suggest you to download the re-computed correct dataset.

3) Due to a computational issue, the CDI of the ten-day period 2024-01-01 has been re-computed. If you have downloaded this dataset before the 2 February 2024 at 14:20 CET, we suggest you to download the re-computed correct dataset.

4) Due to issues in VIIRS source data acquisition, fAPAR, fAPAR Anomaly, Risk of Drought Impact for Agriculture (RDrI-Agri), and CDI of the ten-day periods 2023-11-11 and 2023-11-21 have been re-computed to remove possible wrong values. If you have downloaded such datasets before the 13 December 2023, at 14:00 CET, we suggest you to download the re-computed correct datasets.

5) Due to an issue in VIIRS source data, fAPAR, fAPAR Anomaly, RDrI-Agri, and CDI of the ten-day period 2023-11-01 were available with an incomplete time coverage from 30 November to 4 December 2023. That release covered 8 days instead of 10, from 1 to 8 November 2023.
The complete datasets are available since 4 December 2023, at 17:11 CET. We suggest you to download the complete datasets if you have downloaded the incomplete ones before.

6) Due to an issue in VIIRS source data, fAPAR, fAPAR Anomaly, Risk of Drought Impact for Agriculture (RDrI-Agri), and Combined Drought Indicator (CDI) of the ten-day period 2023-07-11 were available with an incomplete time coverage from 2 August to 9 August 2023. That release covered 9 days instead of 10, from 11 to 19 July 2023.
The complete datasets are available since 9 August 2023, at 15:00 CEST. We suggest you to download the complete datasets if you have downloaded the incomplete ones before.

7) For an inconsistency in reading the SPI dataset from 2012 to 2019, we have recalculated the whole CDI time series. If you have downloaded CDI data in a date between the 6th April 2023 and the 14th June 2023, we suggest you to download them again. We apologize for any inconvenience.

8) Due to an error, NetCDF and GeoTIFF files of the following products could contain wrong values for data of year 2022 if downloaded in a date between the 20th April 2022 and the 2nd November 2022:
  • fAPAR, both Europe and World
  • fAPAR Anomaly, both Europe and World
  • Index for Seasonal Forecasting of Unusually Wet and Dry Periods SPI-1, SPI-3, SPI-6, both Europe and World
  • Standardized Precipitation Index, all accumulation periods, World
If you have downloaded such datasets in that period, we suggest you to download them again in order to have the correct data.

9) The Soil Moisture Index (SMI) and SMI Anomaly show unexpected pattern and values from 2022-05-01 to 2022-06-01; you can rely on the Ensemble Soil Moisture Anomaly dataset instead.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
