Availability of Maps in Archive

On Wednesday 3 April 2024 at 9:00 CET, EDO and GDO have been moved to a new Internet domain that is part of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) main domain, being EDO and GDOe than 5 years key part of the Copernicus programme. This domain change will help you to get a better overview of all the information, data, and services provided by the Copernicus programme and make easier to switch from one to the other.
The domain change is automated for a year, but please update your bookmarks as soon as possible!

Welcome to drought.emergency.copernicus.eu!

Monthly Precipitation
• This layer loads cell-based data directly from a spatial table
• Data frequency: monthly
• 1 decimal degree data of three processing status regarding monthly rainfall as prepared by GPCC and downloaded from ftp://ftp-anon.dwd.de/pub/data/gpcc/
• Available for years: 2011 -----> 2024
SPI at SYNOP stations
• This layer loads point-based data directly from a spatial table
• Data frequency: monthly
• Available timescales: 1,3,6,9,12,24,48U
• change to SPI computed from Monthly cumulated Rainfall measured on 400 Stations with long enough non interrupted measurements since 1981. The reference period for the SPI computation is 1981 - 2010.
• Available for years: 1973 -----> 2024
• Data processing for the current year is done until SPI-01 of January
SPI Blended and Interpolated
• This layer loads cell-based data directly from a spatial table
• Data frequency: monthly
• Available timescales: 1,3,6,9,12,24,48U
• SPI computed from daily rainfall observations at SYNOP (Surface Synoptic Observations) stations from the MARS (http://mars.jrc.ec.europa.eu/) database relative to the reference period 1981 - 2010 interpolated to 0.25 degree grid blended with SPI computed from GPCC (http://gpcp.dwd.de) monthly precipitation at 1.0 degree resolution for the same reference period
• Available for years: 1981 -----> 2024
• Data processing for the current year is done until SPI-01 of January
