Input data are obtained from the climatological database CLIDATA. Potential evapotranspiration is calculated by AVISO model (modified Penman-Monteith equation is used) in daily step on the basis of measured meteorological elements stored in the CLIDATA database. Spatial interpolation of point values is performed automatically using linear regression method related to altitude with correction of estimated values using the residuals to preserve the measured values at stations (the method is part of CLIDATA). The resulting raster dataset has a spatial resolution of 500 m and is processed in the ArcGIS environment and generalised using Focal Filter method. The whole process runs semi-automatically using Python scripts. The map is placed on the CHMI portal in JPEG format.
