EDO User Meeting 2018

The second EDO User Meeting was held on the 11th and 12th of October 2018, at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, in Ispra, Italy. Since 2018, EDO and the closely related Global Drought Observatory (GDO) form part of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS).

The Meeting gathered experts in drought monitoring, forecasting and management from EU Member States, meteorological services, international bodies, and universities, to discuss concepts and methodologies for drought risk assessment in different economic sectors (e.g. public water supply, agriculture, energy production, and inland water transportation). Participants discussed the multiple dimensions of drought risk (i.e. hazard, exposure and vulnerability) and elaborated recommendations on how to implement related risk assessments in EDO and GDO.

This page gathers the meeting agenda, the final meeting report and the presentations, all collected in a ZIP file and listed below.
